Random thought : rivalry between philly and boston comes from the idea that each place claimed the right to be called the “cradle of liberty”. Some guy named james Otis called it in that a meeting place/marketplace in boston the cradle of liberty because they held meetings about the boston tea party there remember the tea party and how they jumped on the trump idea of Obama’s fake birth certificate?
And philadelphia claims the title because the Declaration of Independence and constitution were written and signed there, this is why they changed the name of the liberty bell from the state house bell. It was a propaganda move to make people think that philly was about liberty even though slavey was allowed there.
